ONET4P sweep into ECL Season 42
ONET4P have completed their run in the playoffs of ESEA Advanced Season 41, swiftly taking down timbermen 3-0 in the grand final. This victory secures direct promotion to the next season of ESL Challenger League for ONET4P, bypassing the bloodbath of relegation entirely.
ONET4P kicked off the series already in a favorable position, as they began with a map advantage thanks to coming from the upper bracket. ONET4P's pick of Vertigo was the first battleground for the two teams, starting in scrappy back-and-forth fashion before Luxe pulled away to claim a 9-6 lead.
In the second half, neither squad was able to wrest control of the series, continuing the streaky trading of rounds from earlier in the first half. Eventually, the map was dragged to overtime, where ONET4P stabilized thanks to a strong showing from Gage "Infinite" Green to lock down the map 19-16.
Up 2-0 in the series, things looked great for ONET4P, and it soon got even better. ONET4P dominated on Luxe's pick of Dust2, putting up a near-impenetrable defense that secured the squad a 13-2 lead at the half. With Logan "Voltage" Long posting an incredible 2.12 rating in the first half, there was little Luxe could do but roll over as ONET4P steamrolled ahead to steal their opponent's pick 16-2, securing ONET4P a spot in ECL Season 42.
