FURIA drop their first round map to Spirit
FURIA and Spirit clashed on Nuke in a tough game that felt like every round went to a 2v2. In the end, the Russians got the better of FURIA despite due to some fantastic clutch rounds, including a beautiful low HP clutch from Pavel "s1ren" Ogloblin.
FURIA came out strong on their CT-side, going up 10-5 at the half and seeming to have good momentum coming into the second. However, the pistol round win from Spirit put them on the right track to mount a comeback. Going into round 23, the score was an even 11 apiece, and the storyline of every round going down to the wire continued as FURIA denied a 1v2 clutch to go up. From here it continued to go back and forth until Spirit was able to put multiple rounds together and close it out 16-12.
The heroics of Yuri "yuurih" Santos should not go unmentioned however as his big kills in crucial rounds kept FURIA in this game even when Spirit had all the momentum.
