6'3 and Over dominate first Fragadelphia 17 regional

The ECL-Advanced mix claim the Georgetown event without dropping a single map.

The opening event of the Fragadelphia 17 circuit has concluded in Texas with $1,750 and 10,250 points being distributed across the attending teams. Dylan "SATURN" Finch's mix of mostly former ECL players claim the first-place prize of $1,250 without dropping a single map throughout the whole event.

The event kicked off yesterday with the four-team Group A where both event finalists earned their playoffs berths. 6'3 and Over won all three matches in their group, twice on Overpass and once on Mirage, coming out on top with a 3-0 score. The other finalists, Sutti's Money Crew, came second losing only to the aforementioned group victors on Mirage 16-1. The other two teams, Team Nunya and Billie Eilish Takeover, finished with 1-2 and 0-3 group scores respectively.

The evening of the first day played host to the five-team Group B where a three-way tie resulted in one team unfortunately being eliminated over a three-round difference. Furious Steel, LGG Gentlemen, and Matthew Mcconaughey Fan Club all finished with a 3-1 group score and a 1-1 head-to-head record between each other, so the tiebreaking moved onto head-to-head round difference where MMFC were ranked lowest. Gyll's Money Crew and Deadset eSports finished in 4th and 5th places with 1-3 and 0-4 group scores, respectively.

Moving onto the second day of the event and the playoffs, the stakes were raised with a single-elimination bracket being utilized. The first match-up was Furious Steel vs Sutti's Money Crew where the two juked it out on two close maps. Ultimately, Eduardo "Link" Osuna's stand-out performance on SMC on both maps alongside a close-second on the leaderboard, Reagan "Reagan" Love.

The playoffs did not go without a hiccup though, with the other semifinal starting with a defaulted map. Adam "nbgee12" Zanzoul's LGG Gentlemen were unfortunately late to check-in to the second day and due to also delaying the match starting were forced to forfeit the first map of their series versus 6'3 and Over. Once the match finally did start, it was already too late for LGG as they were unable to hold off the stomping from Jack "xCeeD" Holiman and Nicholas "hate" Young on Overpass.

With both finalists — 6'3 and Over and Sutti's Money Crew — determined, the grand final was set with a Group A rematch but this time as a BO3 series. The match kicked off on Overpass, a staple for the 6'3 boys, where they claimed a 13-2 opening CT-side. Finishing the map without dropping a single T-side round, the team's anti-namesake Josiah "JoJo" Jimenez posted an outstanding 2.23 rating.

Moving onto Vertigo as the second map, the thrashing did not stop with a 11-4 opening T-side for 6'3. Despite a small attempt to shorten the gap towards the end of the half by SMC, as well as a pistol round conversion by them to bring the scoreline to 11-7, they were unable to win a single further round and eventually lost the map 16-7.
