IEM Dallas NA Closed Qualifier bracket determined

The seeding for the double-elimination BO3 bracket has been released by ESL ahead of the North America closed qualifier which is set to begin tomorrow, April 22. Given the qualification process and invites handed out to Complexity, Evil Geniuses, GODSENT, and Team Liquid, there are some interesting matchups to expect.

Party Astronauts and Evil Geniuses are set to face-off once again with their last meeting being the elimination round at the Americas RMR for the PGL Antwerp Major. A hotly contested matchup, in which many tipped Party Astronauts to upset, Evil Geniuses secured a 2-1 victory before falling to 9z and ultimately failing to advance.

Elsewhere, we see GODSENT and ATK battle it out to face the winner of Carpe Diem and Complexity, the latter of which breezed through the Americas RMR to qualify as the first North American team.

The matches for Day 1 are:

• Friday 12:30PM — Party Astronauts vs Evil Geniuses

• Friday 04:00PM — GODSENT vs ATK

• Friday 04:00PM — Carpe Diem vs Complexity

• Friday 07:30PM— Upper Bracket Semifinal #1

• Friday 07:30PM— Lower Bracket Round 1 Match #1

The remainder of the bracket will be played on Days 2 and 3:

• Saturday 02:30PM— UB Semifinal #2 & LB R1 Match #2

• Saturday 07:00PM— LB Round 2 Matches

• Sunday 02:30PM — UB Final & LB R3 Match

• Sunday 07:00PM— LB Final

Two teams will qualify, from the UB and LB finals, to IEM Dallas in late May.
