IEM Dallas 2022 NA qualifiers announced

NA's qualification path will feature 2 open qualifiers and an 8 team closed qualifier with 2 slots to the group stage of IEM Dallas.

ESL have announced the details for when and how two representatives from North America will be able to qualify to the homestand ESL Pro Tour Masters event, IEM Dallas. The main event itself will feature six guaranteed EPT partner team slots of which Complexity, Evil Geniuses, and Liquid are eligible for, as well as five direct invites from the ESL World Rankings.

The North American closed qualifier, which will send two teams to Dallas, will feature an eight team double-elimination BO3 bracket where four teams will be directly invited and four will come from two sets of open qualifiers. The invites are expected to be filled by the top NA teams from the ESL World Rankings which were not able to secure a direct invite to the main event no later than April 11th. The bracket itself will be played across three days, starting on April 22nd and ending on April 24th.

The open qualifiers, hosted on ESEA as standard, will be single-elimination BO1 brackets with the qualifying semifinals being played as BO3 series to determine the top two teams from each. The first open bracket will commence on April 17th at 06:00PM with matches continuing on the 18th at the same time. The second open bracket will follow the same schedule but on April 19th and 20th respectively. Registration for both qualifiers closes at 05:45PM on their respective start days.

The details of the European, South American, and Oceanic qualifiers for IEM Dallas, which will run concurrently with the North American qualifiers, have also been announced by ESL. Information on those can be found in the official announcement here.
