Vireo.pro replace Aezy with g0ne

Since the move, the squad has g0ne on to dominate in ESEA Advanced.

On February 12th, Advanced side Vireo.pro opted to reintroduce Nickolas "g0ne" Orescanin to their active roster in the place of Chase "Aezy" Hooker. This move marks a return to the main lineup for g0ne, as he briefly played for the squad during ESEA Advanced Season 39. He later stepped back to a coaching role due to a hectic schedule, which saw Steven "drayza" Wisemore fill his spot on the team.

Vireo.pro got off to an unfortunate start in their ESEA Advanced season, with three straight losses at the hands of Touch Point, Mythic, and Levitate. The squad eventually secured their first win of the season after a close 16-14 victory over DotMax on February 10th.

Just two days later the squad made the decision to swap out Aezy for g0ne and almost immediately the team started seeing results. The squad's first outing after the move was the ESEA Winter Cash Cup 4, which saw Vireo.pro reach the quarterfinals, where the team narrowly missed out on the semifinal berth after a close loss to ONET4P.

Vireo.pro managed to further improve on their Cash Cup success, with the squad finishing in 4th place in the subsequent ESEA Winter Cash Cup 5. Along the way, the team took down heavyweight side Carpe Diem, in large part thanks to a phenomenal 2.17 rating from g0ne. Vireo.pro has also seen a drastic improvement in their ESEA Advanced results, with the squad securing five wins in a row since g0ne's reintroduction to the roster, landing them a respectable 6-3 regular season record.

Vireo.pro's roster is now:

  • Sebastian "cbass" Bentancor

  • United States Frankie "Champ" Miranda

  • United States Ian "Fur_Daddy" McClive

  • United States Steven "Drayza" Wisemore

  • Canada Nickolas "g0ne" Orescanin

Vireo.pro will be looking to keep their Advanced win streak alive next week, as the squad is slated to play Stealth on March 8th at 09:00PM.
