Bad News Bears brings in European help

The fan-favorite North American semi-professional team has sought the services of LAJT to help with their struggling season.

Bad News Bears have added Szymon "LAJT" Jaworski as an assistant coach and analyst. His addition will hopefully reinvigorate Bad News Bears, who have struggled as of late following the departure of their former star trio and the additions of Christopher "Swhan" Swahn, Saad "Pluto" Siraj, and Khizar "MoMo" Rehman.

Hailing from Europe, LAJT is still no stranger to the North American semi-pro scene. He was most recently the coach of Rise and Veloz in mid-2021. LAJT also previously coached a number of Polish teams including Pompa, Pompa Black, and Wake.

This move will be hopefully be some good news for the Bad News fans, as the team have struggled immensely in recent weeks. The team currently sit mid-table in Group A in ESL Challenger League Season 40, with their sole win coming against Third Impact while the team also received a forfeit win against Valors.

The team have also faced incredibly underwhelming results in the past five ESEA Winter Cash Cups. Outside of a second place finish in ESEA x Fragadelphia Winter Cash Cup 4, Bad News Bears' new lineup has bombed out of the bracket in the second round following losses to Advanced-level opposition.

Bad News Bears are now:

  • United States Gabe "Spongey" Greiner

  • United States Alan "Shakezullah" Hardeman

  • Khizar "MoMo" Rehman

  • United States Christopher "Swahn" Swahn

  • Saad "Pluto" Siraj

  • United States Nathan "madcow" Retterath (Coach)

  • Szymon "LAJT" Jaworski (Assistant Coach/Analyst)

Bad News Bears' next outing in ESL Challenger League Season 40 will be against ONET4P on March 1st at 08:00PM.
