UYU sign MunroPeek

The announcement marks tatm's second stint with the organization.

UYU have announced their return to CS:GO with the signing of MunroPeek, with Matthew "tatm" Munro and company hitting the ground running in their new home as they currently boast a 7-1 record in ESEA Advanced Season 40.

Helmed by tatm, his addition to UYU sees the captain join the organization for the second time after a previous five month stint under the banner, helping the side to a 9th-12th place finish in ESEA Advanced Season 37 whilst averaging a 0.93 rating across nine maps. Meanwhile, Mohamed "Penguin" Algadir marks his return to ESEA Advanced after playing ESEA Main Season 39 with Noxious where they fell in the first round of playoffs. Before this, the 18-year-old had reached ESEA Advanced playoffs with Levitate, securing a 9th-12th place finish after a 2-1 defeat to X13 in the first round of the lower bracket.

Alvin "Alvin" Bui joins UYU's books with the most amount of league experience under his belt, as the 19-year-old has played in ESEA Advanced for nine consecutive seasons, notably representing Eros Black during ESEA Season 38 where the side were able to achieve a 9th-12th placement. Elsewhere, Kamron "kmrn" Manii's services have been recruited after recently winning Fragadelphia 16: The Block with InControl while also posting a 7-7 record with LifeThru during ESEA Advanced Season 39.

Rounding out the roster is Joey "hyza" Cornelius who UYU hope will be the final piece of the puzzle that can help propel the squad to promotion to ESL Challenger League Season 41. The 23-year-old has spent ESEA Seasons 38 and 39 with Synergy and InControl, respectively, helping both sides to 7th-8th and 13th-16th place finishes in ESEA Advanced throughout the two seasons.

UYU now have the following roster:

  • Matthew "tatm" Munro

  • Mohamed "Penguin" Algadir

  • Alvin "Alvin" Bui

  • Kamron "kmrn" Manii

  • Joey "hyza" Cornelius

UYU will be looking to keep up their good form in ESEA Advanced Season 40 as their next matchup will see them take on Counter Nature on March 1st.
