Rank S Recap - desi tops second Friday
Derek "desi" Branchen has topped the second Friday of the newly formatted Rank S, earning himself $1,000 for a first place finish. ESEA community manager Mark "Boq" Wilson announced changes to the Rank S and Rank G prize pools at the start of the month, with Rank S moving from a daily ladder to a single "hyper-competitive" day of matches every Friday.
Also making appearances in the top ten is the recently-released Will "dazzLe" Loafman and a number of MDL players, including Mitch "mitch" Semago, Josh "PwnAlone" Pigue, and iNTACT's Gabe "Spongey" Greiner.

As Derrick "LILMAN" Boyne failed to achieve any points in this week of Rank S, he lost out on his top spot to Jeff "RZU" Ngo, who snuck into first with his second place finish on Friday. desi's first place finish also earned him third place in the top earners table, vaulting over Danny "cxzi" Strzelczyk and Alex "aproto" Protopapas.
Over in Rank G, which now welcomes Rank S players over the course of the week, the currently-teamless Brandon "BOOBIE" Roberts grabbed himself first place, with LILMAN also making an appearance at third. The top ten players in Rank G for the week are as follows:
