Eros add rezy1on as BeaKie exits team

Additionally, Noxio has joined the team as a substitute.

Brody "BeaKie" Kelly has stepped down from Eros, leaving the team after three seasons under GGPR/Eros. In his place, former Kinship player Jordan "rezy1on" Smith has joined the team.

Additionally, former CENSRD player Sam "Noxio" Goodwin has joined Eros as a substitute while Josh "sava9e" Lundquist and Sean "Inseaniac" Morrison have left the team.

BeaKie told Dust2.us that he made the decision to leave Eros due to being unhappy with the team's progress and direction. In particular he stated that he felt the five-man lineup hadn't achieved notable results in their time together and thus wanted to move on from the team. Additionally, he said that Eros are planning on pugging out this season due to multiple players being busy in their personal life which did not align with his goals in game.

Eros have been rather underwhelming since joining the organization in October, finishing ESEA Premier Season 39 in 9th-10th place while failing to secure notable results in recent Autumn and Winter ESEA Cash Cups.

BeaKie's replacement, rezy1on, will make his debut in ESL Challenger League/Premier after making Advanced playoffs for the first time with Kinship during Season 39. During playoffs, he posted a 1.16 rating over ten maps.

With rezy1on, Eros are now:

  • John "JTMythic" Timmermann

  • Cory "shutout" Frymark

  • Kevin "omniscient" Ma

  • Adam "freshie" Paterson

  • Jordan "rezy1on" Smith

  • United States Sam "Noxio" Goodwin (Substitute)

  • Nick "Noot" Samodurov (Coach)

This new-look Eros lineup will make their ECL debut against ChocoCheck on February 9th at 8PM EST.
