Tempest sign YeniCherry

Tempest have signed YeniCherry ahead of the start of ESEA Advanced Season 40. In their new home, Ihsan "G3DITOR" Yigit and co. will look to build upon their 7th-8th place finish last season in Advanced.

The Turkish core of G3DITOR, Kaan "KaKi" Bolukbas, and Michael "Brashi" Chadwick has been a fixture in ESEA Advanced for three seasons now, after qualifying for the division following a third-place finish in ESEA Main Season 36 as Veloz Riot.

Under the YeniCherry banner, G3DITOR and co. managed a strong regular season record in ESEA Advanced Season 39, accruing ten wins and four losses. Alas, their dreams of Premier Relegation were dashed following losses in the playoffs to Noah "insane" Eheart's Third Impact and Max "SolGoat" Wallace's Brazen.

Outside of their performances in Advanced, YeniCherry have struggled as of late, failing to make a splash in the three most recent ESEA Cash Cups. More recently, the core failed to make it out of the group stage at Fragadelphia 16: Chicago.

In the past month, the Turks have been looking to bolster their coaching staff following the departure of Grant "GKaay" Kino. This saw the introduction of Cole "RoundCube" Taylor in his place, but after only two events with the squad he departed, citing mutual differences in goals and ideas. The signing of the team by Tempest sees coaching duties being split by the duo of Suleyman "NForc3R" Savci and Mare "iNfusioN3" R., who will hopefully find more success in that role.
