Vireo.pro replace Wild at ESEA Global Challenge due to visa issues

Both the first and second placing teams in the Brazil division are unable to acquire visas to attend.

ESEA have announced that after being unable to acquire visas to attend the upcoming Global Challenge event at the Mavs Training Facility in Dallas, Brazil Open champions Wild will be replaced by Vireo.pro, who finished fourth in the North American ESEA MDL.

Dener "KHTEX" Barchfield implied his team would be missing the event on Twitter, stating in Portuguese how a document could have the power to kill people's dreams in CS:GO. Wild had been on a high recently in CS:GO, having secured a spot to next year's StarSeries i-League Season 7 Finals havng won the GAMECON Open event at the start of the month. More in the present, they won ESEA Open Brazil after narrowly missing out on a spot at the IEM Katowice Americas Minor, having lost to Imperial in a close two map set.

Vireo.pro's roster will not be featuring the inactive Donovan "zNf" Froid for the event, with the player stating on Twitter that he didn't have enough day's leave to be able to attend. His replacement will most likely be team coach Rustun "Rustun" Lusk, who Vireo.pro played with instead of zNf during the third-place match in the ESEA MDL playoffs.

Arthur Leão, HLTV Coverage Admin for South America tweeted that the Chilean team Rejected, who came second in the ESEA Open Brazil division, were also unable to acquire visas for the event. He further stated that Brazilian team W7M, who lost to Wild in the semifinals, had everything sorted for a trip to America. However ESEA instead decided to opt for a North American team instead, which incited a confused response from a number of high profile members of the Brazilian community, alongside a disappointed response from W7M's Leon "ryotzz" Felipe.

The team list for the ESEA Season 29 Global Challenge will be:

3DMAX Virtus.pro
Kinguin United States Swole Patrol
United States cantwinalan United States Singularity
United States Vireo.pro Australia Grayhound

The ESEA Season 29 Global Challenge is set to begin on November 5th with the MDL Finals and ESL Pro League Relegations, before the main tournament takes place between December 7th-9th.
