motm will be back to that LAN grind

motm to get pumped up with Swole Patrol at MDL Global Challenge

It turns out it worked alright in the end for motm.

With Swole Patrol's recent qualification for the MDL Global Challenge event, Ian "motm" Hardy has announced over social media that he will be tagging along with Swole Patrol at the event in place of Edgar "MarKE" Jimenez, confirming a report by RushBMedia's Ashlynn "Valkenn" Brady.

motm originally had a shot at joining Swole Patrol earlier this month, following eUnited's signing of Austin "Cooper-" Abadir. However, following eUnited's consolation loan of Brandon "Ace" Winn to Swole Patrol, motm was let go by the team in favor of the benched pro league player. With Vision refusing to bring him back onto the team, the 19-year-old was left teamless as the regular season came to an end.

MarKE is no stranger to missing out on LAN events with Swole Patrol, having been absent previously at Fragadelphia 12, presumably due to visa and financial burdens. MarKE being forced to skip the Global Challenge event could possibly mean that the event will be situated in the United States, due to the Mexican player having issues travelling to American events in the past.

Swole Patrol's roster for MDL Global Challenge is:

  • United States Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir
  • United States Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro
  • United States Braxton "swag" Pierce
  • United States Brandon "Ace" Winn (On loan)
  • United States Ian "motm" Hardy (Stand-in)

While MDL Global Challenges typically take place two months following the end of the online playoffs, Dust2.us has learned that the LAN event will take place in early December. The location for the tournament is still unknown.

Dust2 Birthday cake!
Why don’t they have the event in Canada then... I think that would solve a lot of issues
