MDL Roster Lock: Vision reach peak nihilism, cellar dwellers make changes

A lockdown is now in effect, please stay indoors until the offseason.

The time of refreshing team pages for the roster changes has come to a close with the ESEA season's post-season roster lock now in effect.

While none of the playoff bound teams have made any sort of changes, Vision, a team that still has a chance at the playoffs, have added Tyler "TheDudeAbides" S. to the roster after giving Ian "1motm" Hardy the cold shoulder amid the Swole Patrol/eUnited debacle. While TheDudeAbides will be added to the ESEA roster, Mark "markalodon" Rose has paid up, and can also be used in the server come playoff season.

Vision's roster is now:

  • United States Jake "kaboose" McDonald
  • United States Alex "aproto" Protopapas
  • Canada Andy "vSa" Xu
  • United States Colin "wrath" McSweegan
  • United States Tyler "TheDudeAbides" S. (Substitute)
  • United States Mark "markalodon" Rose (Coach)

The bottom of the league also features some new changes, as ETHEREAL have opted to take Alec "Acrim" Holland out of the starting lineup, and bring in former coach Arya "arya" Hekmat. arya has been playing with the team in place of Acrim for the past four games to no success, posting up four straight losses. This marks the second change the team has made after they added Corey "flashstep" Parks earlier in the season. With a 2-12 record, the team will look to keep their MDL slot in the relegation tournament.

ETHEREAL now are:

  • United States Dennison "fdeN" Fong
  • United States Sol "snim" Min
  • United States Jin "Jindoke" Park
  • United States Corey "flashstep" Parks
  • United States Arya "arya" Hekmat

Another struggling team, Blight will be looking to change their roster again, this time in preparation for relegation as well, with the addition of ex-Guerrilla Tactics player Marcos "tacitus" Castilho in place of Dylan "Hiki" O'Kane. The 18-year-old has recently played alongside Blight player Anthony "Nervous" Boring in the ECS North America Qualifier 2 under the name lmfao as well as playing in Advanced for the past two seasons.

With the change, the roster will look as such:

  • United States Ryan "Church" Church
  • United States Andy "devastation" Parr
  • United States Yan "PRDTR" Davtian
  • United States Anthony "Nervous" Boring
  • Brazil Marcos "tacitus" Castilho
  • United States Greg "GRAG" Phillips (Coach)

VAULT will be hard pressed to reach a playoff spot, but nevertheless the team has added ex-Vision/Fam143 player Alex "lanhero" Suarez to the team. lanhero can sub in at multiple positions for the South Americans, to assist the team as either an IGL or AWPer. Residing in the US, lanhero can also help the players who have ping issues playing from South America.

lanhero's substitute potential leaves VAULT looking as such:

  • Andres "spamzzy" Correa
  • Santiago "Daveys" Galvis
  • Juanes "sickLy" Valencia
  • Guatemala Javier "cruzN" Cruz
  • Jesus "sam_A" Taboada
  • United States Alex "lanhero" Suarez (Substitute)
