FURIA, 4US, Duffle Bag Men, and Final Feature advance to DH Atlanta Closed Qualifier
The North America open qualifier for DreamHack Atlanta has completed, with FURIA, 4US, Duffle Bag Men, and Final Feature advancing to the closed qualifier where they will meet up against the likes of eUnited, Luminosity, oNe, and Spacestation to vie for a spot at the Georgia LAN in November.
Other MDL teams in the open qualifier were Bravado, ETHEREAL, Vision, Vireo.pro, cantwinalan, and Gorilla Gang. Other teams featuring notable players were The Ruskiz with Logan "Voltage" Long, Trevor "FrostayK" Bandle, and Matthew "mCe" Elmore, Whatever It Takes with David "Xp3" Garrido, and Josh "joshbM" Blier's MakeWarNotLove.
The quarterfinals first saw FURIA take down Bravado 16-8 on Inferno with Kaike "kscerato" Cerato putting up 113 ADR. Then Duffle Bag Men (sporting MDL vet Ryan "Winsum" Johns) took down WiT 16-6 with Timothy "Timmy" Bristow topping the scoreboard.
4US then defeated Prex's Goon Squad 16-8 with Oliver "figment" Thompson acquiring 23 frags. Finally, Final Feature dominated MWNL 16-4 as Damian "droid" Boulware put up an 85% KAST.
