eUnited receive final invite to EPICENTER Closed Qualifier; schedule released

Six teams to play for one spot at the event in Moscow later this year.

The EPICENTER 2018 Americas Closed Qualifier is set to take place this weekend, September 8th-9th, with the winner securing a spot at the tournament's Wild Card LAN qualifier in October.

After Bravado secured the final qualifier spot on Tuesday evening, there was only one remaining invite spot left to be announced after NRG had announced their attendance earlier, through NRG stating they'll use Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert in place of Damian "daps" Steele, with the latter currently in attendance as an analyst at the FACEIT London Major.

That team would be eUnited who replace the previously invited Cloud9, who pulled out due to being in Copenhagen for a bootcamp prior to the Major. eUnited are set to play the qualifier from Montreal, due to taking part at DreamHack Open Montreal. Dust2.us knows that both Rogue and Ghost also declined to participate.

The quarterfinal and semifinal matchups on Saturday, with times in EDT, are as follows:

2 PM United States BlackOut vs. Bravado
5 PM World Winner  vs. United States NRG

5 PM Brazil FURIA vs. United States Swole Patrol
8 PM World Winner vs. United States eUnited

Dates for the open qualifiers were available on the Dust2.us Calendar, as are for more tournaments in the future. To avoid missing out on your chance, make sure to keep an eye on it.
