Big Frames, Forty Six and 2 qualify for MDL Season 29
Big Frames and Forty Six and 2 have become the next two teams to advance from the Season 28 Relegation tournament to snag a spot in ESEA MDL Season 29. They join oNe and Infamous, who advanced from the upper bracket yesterday night for spots of their own.
Big Frames took down ETHEREAL in a swift 2-0 series, picking up 16-6 victories on both Mirage and Inferno. Big Frames kicked off Mirage with 5-1 lead, but found the score quickly evened up as they found only a single round in reply to ETHEREAL's five. With the final trio of rounds in the first half going their way, Big Frames cruised to a map win as a 7-0 spree on their T side brought the map to a quick finish.
A very similar scene unfolded on Inferno as Big Frames opened up their T side with a 6-0 lead only for ETHEREAL to even the score with six rounds of their own. In a mirror of the first map, Big Frames quickly garnered the final trio of rounds from the first half before sliding their way to a 16-6 finish in the second half.

Vault and Forty Six and 2 also went head-to-head in the opening halves of the two maps that they played, with Forty Six and 2 coming out victorious on Inferno (16-9) and Mirage (16-12).
A back-and-forth trade kicked off Inferno, with Vault coming out on top to work their way up to a 7-3 lead. Forty Six and 2 were able to fight back for four of the remaining five rounds in the half to give themselves a fighting chance as they swapped onto their CT side.
That margin was hardly needed as the Forty Six and 2 defense completely shut down the Vault offense in the second half. Only a single round went to the Colombian side before the CTs from Forty Six and 2 brought their map pick to a close 16-9.
Vault's pick of Mirage saw Forty Six and 2 crew work their way up to a 7-1 lead, but resilience from Vault kept them in the running as the managed to trail by only a single round at the half. Vault narrowly pulled ahead with a pistol round win in the second half, but mustered only five rounds before their hopes were dashed and Forty Six and 2 closed out the map 16-12.

With these wins, Forty Six and 2 and Big Frames join oNe and Infamous in MDL Season 29. An even split of two Advanced teams and two MDL teams is set to be broken tomorrow as the two Advanced sides of Vault and ETHEREAL face off over the fifth and final slot in MDL next season.
