FACEIT announces 9 FPL invites
FACEIT has announced that nine MDL players have been directly invited to the platform's FPL division over the course of three tweets tonight.
In the first announcement tweet, Vireo.pro's Ian "motm" Hardy, Vision's Danny "huynh" Huynh, and Gorilla Gang's Anthony "Vanity" Malaspina were the three players chosen to be directly promoted to FPL. All three were previously in the FPL-C division and are currently at Fragadelphia.
FACEIT have also announced in the tweet that 11 players have been booted from the FPL division and relegated to its Challenger division.
The second tweet of the night announced three further players that were invited to FPL: Monstar's Alex "aproto" Protopapas, Gorilla Gang's Cameron "hydrex" Kern, and Dignitas' Gage "Infinite" Green. Both hydrex and Infinite are currently competing at Fragadelphia.
The final tweet of the night listed the last three invites that were handed out by FACEIT tonight. Gorilla Gang's Ben "ben1337" Smith, Vireo.pro's Donovan "zNf" Froid, and Vision's Alex "lanhero" Suarez were announced as the last three players that were given direct invites to FPL. All three are currently competing at Fragadelphia.
The final tweet explained that the invites were handed out to the players based on their hard work and their team's performance in recent events. Milos Nedeljkovic, the project lead of FPL, later stated on Twitter that the invites were handed out in order to help the players practice and to help produce new talents in North America, similar to how FPL operate in Europe.
