Twistzz walked over MIBR

Liquid and mousesports round out ELEAGUE Premier playoffs

MIBR are left out to dry at the hands of Liquid.

The two group decider matches at ELEAGUE Premier have concluded, with Liquid taking out MIBR 2-0 (16-10 Cache, 16-10 Overpass) and mousesports edging out Fnatic 2-1 (13-16 Inferno, 16-14 Train, 16-9 Mirage). They move on to the semifinals taking place on the 28th.

Despite dropping the first three rounds to MIBR and being down 3-6 later on, Liquid fought back for a 9-6 lead on the CT side. Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken led the way for Liquid as after losing another pistol round, they grinded out a 16-10 victory on map one.

MIBR once again took the first pistol round on Overpass, but were reset immediately by Liquid. The majority North American side then quickly got a 7-2 lead, but MIBR fought back on their Terrorist side for an 8-7 half for Liquid. It was once again Twistzz who stepped up for Liquid as he powered a strong T half for his team and allowed them to take map two 16-10 and the series 2-0.

The mousesports and Fnatic match began extremely back and forth on Inferno. Neither team gained a significant lead in the first half, with it ending 8-7 towards the Fnatic side. Despite the efforts of Miikka "suNny" Kemppi, who posted 27 kills, Fnatic managed to lock down their CT side and close out the first map 16-13.

The pan-European side got the better start on Train, going up 7-2, but Fnatic were resilient and fought back to get seven rounds to mouz's eight at halftime. mousesports began to lose grip on the game, and let Fnatic reach a 14-11 lead, but Robin "ropz" Kool picked up a triple kill spraydown and was integral in his team making a huge comeback against the Swedes. Winning five rounds in a row, mousesports managed to stay in the match and take Train 16-14.

After the narrow loss it seemed that Fnatic's confidence was shattered, having a rough start on Mirage, only scrounging together four rounds on their Terrorist side. suNny once again topped the scoreboard for mousesports and picked up 30 kills for his team in their eventual 16-9 win.
