FejtZ is headed back to NA

ex-Splyce secure temporary boxr sponsorship; look to fejtZ

launders' brand is lending some assistance to the currently homeless EPL squad, with the possible addition of an Estonian.

Dust2.us can reveal that the ex-Splyce roster will compete under Mohan "launders" Govindasamy's boxr banner for upcoming events. At present this would include the ZOTAC Cup Masters North America Closed Qualifier and Americas Minor qualifications.

The apparel brand will be helping the team by providing monetary support. As of now, this could take the form of flying a European talent to the States to help their Minor campaign. Right now, the team's eyes are on former Denial and HellRaisers player Kristjan "fejtZ" Allsaar. The Estonian has been out of action since a stint as a stand-in with HellRaisers that ended in mid-January.

boxr's lineup would look as follows:

  • United States Taylor "Drone" Johnson
  • Canada Kory "Semphis" Friesen
  • Canada  David "DAVEY" Stafford
  • United States Stephen "reltuC" Cutler
  • Kristjan "fejtZ" Allsaar (Stand-in)
  • United States Zachary "Eley" Stauffer (Coach)

The ex-Splyce roster were most recently in action in Leicester, UK for the ESL Pro League relegation tournament, where they requalified for the next season after two wins over Swole Patrol and a loss to compLexity. The team have, as of yet, failed to succeed in other online qualifiers for events.

There are set to be four upcoming open qualifiers for North America, the first of which is set to take place this weekend, July 2nd-3rd. From there the top two teams of each will secure a spot at the closed qualifier, meeting eight invited teams. The closed qualifier will be a Swiss-format tournament, where the top six teams will head to the Americas Minor at the Twickenham Stadium, London on July 7th-11th.

The incorporation of a new fifth into the team lends further credence to an earlier Dust2.us report, indicating that former temporary fifth Ricardo "Rickeh" Mulholland is set to compete with Rogue at the upcoming DreamHack Open Austin event.

Despite this brief oasis of benevolence, the former Splyce players remain free agents and looking for an organization to represent in ESL Pro League Season 8. Sponsorship inquiries for the team can be directed to [email protected].
