Atmosphere and their former players disagree on their final payment

Report: Atmosphere and former players in dispute over allegedly owed salary

The organization parted ways with the players earlier today, but the story may not end there.

Atmosphere parted ways with their MDL roster earlier today, with the organization tweeting out that they were in search of new players to represent for season 28. Soon after, a tweet from Jonathan "Jonji" Carey alleged that Atmosphere had failed to pay out part of his salary for the month.

When contacted by Dust2.us, a player from the team was able to confirm that their monthly salary of $375 was not paid out for this pay period; instead, the team received a $200 bonus per player for making MDL playoffs as promised in their contracts. The $200 bonus was to be a raise for each player's salary for ensuing months, although the contracts were set to terminate on April 22nd.

Sources from Atmosphere inform Dust2.us that the players received their salary payments a month in advance, with their March pay period being paid out at the beginning of the month on March 8th. With the termination of player contracts, Atmosphere claims that the $375 in allegedly owed salary need not be paid as the team have now been released from the organization.

Atmosphere also released a Twitlonger addressing the situation:
