ECS Season 5 Week 1: NRG Brehze their way to a flawless record

The new season of ECS has begun in earnest, and OnliNRG are looking good.

The first week of ECS season 5 wrapped up recently with NRG sitting atop the standings. Bulgarian phenom Tsevtelin "CeRq" Dimitrov was nothing short of fantastic in his debut week of his second season. ECS rookie Anthony "gMd" Guimond also started off hot in his new Rogue uniform. OpTic's new Danish look started cold and the compLexity woes continue.

CeRq is certainly worthy of praise, but NRG's Vincent "brehze" Cayonte and Ethan "nathE" Arnold are also delivering for their squad. These three are developing into a consistent fragging core which no doubt has contributed the most to NRG's undefeated month of March. Having played in 13 series this month, NRG has come out on top every time.

Unlike their impressive undefeated EPL season thus far, Liquid took two L's against NRG this past week despite the efforts of Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken. compLexity's struggles continue against top NA teams as they lost 2-0 to Liquid, and even against Rogue they took a 2-0. Sitting at -31 round differential, they have a bit of a hole to climb out of next week.

Here are some matches in week two to watch out for:
