karrigan claims unfortunate record with worst K/D differential in CS history
Danish IGL Finn "karrigan" Andersen, who recently made a high-profile move from FaZe to Falcons, has just earned a place atop the throne as the player with the worst K/D differential on HLTV.
karrigan overtook IGL and coach Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen after posting a -30 K/D in the final of the CS Asia Championships. It is important to note that karrigan has played nearly 1,200 more maps than HUNDEN.
While karrigan's stat isn't a pretty sight, it does go to show the longevity of his career. The next-closest player in the bottom-ten K/D differential is Cătălin-Ionuț "BTN" Stănescu, who is +325 ahead of karrigan, but played nearly 600 more maps.
karrigan's K/D ratio is currently 0.64 in 30 maps played with Falcons, which is a far cry from his 0.87 average in 2724 maps played in his career.
It is hard to argue with the results, though, as karrigan has one of the most storied careers in CS history. The Dane won the PGL Antwerp Major, IEM Katowice and Cologne, and the ESL Grand Slam, all in 2022 alone. That is more than even the IGL of the Astralis dynasty, Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander, can say, as he never won IEM Cologne.
karrigan also boasts another dubious stat, as he has come runner-up in four separate Majors, including three out of the four Majors in CS2 so far. He and current teammate Nikola "NiKo" Kovač were also the victims of the Cloud9 comeback in the ELEAGUE Boston Major final in 2018, where C9 won North America's one and only Major in CS:GO.
karrigan will have another shot at the Major at IEM Cologne 2026, where he and Falcons are starting in Stage 3. This could be karrigan's last chance to win a Major with NiKo and finally make amends for their loss in Boston.
