s1mple criticizes teammates after bombing out of IEM Atlanta: "Hard to play when gameplan isn’t followed"
BC.game exited IEM Atlanta 2026 earlier today following a 0-2 loss to B8, marking a disappointing end to the international roster's first event with Azbayar "Senzu" Munkhbold.
While the team's early exit from the event can easily be chalked up to a lack of practice and the need to field analyst turned IGL Robin "ScrunK" Röpke, there were clear signs of frustration from Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev throughout the series.
This feelings seemingly boiled over today on X after the series, with s1mple criticizing his teammates and stating:
Out from IEM Atlanta, hard to play when gameplan isn’t followed from the start, even tho we had 5 practice day with this line up that’s unacceptable
The reaction from s1mple is hardly surprising as he has always held his teams to a high standard and BC.Game has hardly been the triumphant return for the former world #1 player.
However, s1mple himself isn't exactly free of criticism as he ended Atlanta with a 0.94 rating over four maps. With the team heading to CAC 2026 next, hopefully we'll be able to see more of s1mple with the team having the chance to practice more, though their incomplete roster will continue to be an issue.
