FaZe and GamerLegion made the largest moves in the VRS standings at BLAST Rivals

FaZe make huge jump in VRS standings after BLAST Rivals Season 1 2026

Vitality capped off their fifth consecutive event win with a 3-0 sweep.

BLAST Rivals S1 2026 concluded yesterday with Vitality beating NAVI 3-0 in the grand final. NAVI pushed Vitality to the brink on the first two maps, but couldn't close either of them. NAVI will especially regret not winning the first map, where they began Nuke with a commanding 11-1 lead.

On the VRS side, FaZe and GamerLegion emerge as the biggest gainers from the event. Those two came in as the lowest-ranked teams in the eight-team tournament, but both finished in 3rd-4th, taking impressive scalps along the way.

FaZe entered the event having just lost their IGL, Finn "karrigan" Andersen, who made a move to Falcons. FaZe have had a disappointing year up to this point, missing the IEM Cologne Major despite finishing as runners-up in the previous PGL Bucharest Major.

FaZe qualified for the playoffs thanks to a 2-1 victory over FURIA in the Group B lower bracket. Once in the knockout bracket, FaZe were matched up against G2, whom they defeated 2-1 in the quarterfinals. Their run came to an end v. eventual second-place finisher NAVI, where FaZe lost in a competitive 0-2. At the end of the event, FaZe climbed 19 places, all the way up to 22nd in the Global VRS standings.

GamerLegion were the other impressive side at BLAST Rivals. GL, contrary to FaZe, made the Major after good results at tier-two LANs in 2026.

Their journey began with a win v. FURIA in the group stage, which clinched their playoff spot. GL's next match was against NAVI for a spot in the semifinals. NAVI swept GamerLegion, sending the underdogs to the quarterfinals. That round-of-eight match came against Astralis, one of the most-improved sides of the year. However, it was GamerLegion's day, as they won in a close 2-0 sweep. GL next faced the Vitality dynasty, losing 2-0 to the eventual champions.

FaZe jumping 19 spots feels deserved.

Missing the Major and losing karrigan made the year look rough but beating FURIA and G2... then keeping it close with NAVI, shows they still have something good goin on.

#22 still feels low if this version of FaZe keeps showing up.
