Marsborne claim spot in Circuit X Mayhem São Paulo

Last night, Circuit X confirmed that Marsborne have secured their spot in the upcoming Circuit X Mayhem in São Paulo. The event will be Marsborne's last chance to earn VRS points for the IEM Cologne Major, as the cutoff is the day after the event ends. The LAN will run from April 1st to April 5th and feature a stunning $50,000 prize pool.

Marsborne have become a consistent presence in tier 2 Brazilian LANs like this one. The team came 5th-6th at the latest BetBoom RUSH B Summit, made the final of Circuit X Pantanal Cuiabá, and is set to play at FERJEE In House in a few days. Their LAN grind hasn't secured them a spot at the major yet, but it has kept them in close contention for it. Strong performances at FERJEE In House and Circuit X Mayhem São Paulo would certainly make a massive difference.

Circuit X Mayhem São Paulo is set to feature 16 teams. The event will start with four groups of four playing an all bo3, double-elimination GSL format, advancing the top two teams. The playoffs will be an eight-team, single-elimination bracket where all matches are bo3, except for the bo5 final.
