Generation NSTLGA announce format changes for their upcoming Seattle LAN
Generation NSTLGA, a new CS2 tournament organized based out of Seattle, has announced on July 1st that their Seattle LAN has changed tier within the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) from Unranked to a Tier-Two ranked LAN event.
With that in mind, Generation NSTLGA has refrained from running an invite-only event to make it open for everyone interested in attending. The applications have been closed and will re-open tomorrow, July 4th, with first eight teams who sign up claiming spots in the event.
Even though this is a Valve Regional Standings (VRS) enabled tournament, only the matches covered by HLTV will count towards VRS meaning it is wholly contingent on which teams sign up. This is something Generation NSTLGA stressed in their post, stating:
"HLTV determines if/which specific matches get covered once all 8 attending teams are submitted. "This is contingent on how many VRS teams attend our event. Please note HLTV coverage is NOT guaranteed."
Generation NSTLGA's LAN will run from August 16th to August 17th at Gameworks Seattle.
