Where could BLAST end up?

BLAST opens host city bidding process for 2025 & 2026

Where will the TO go?

BLAST is launching another host city process for its upcoming 2025 and 2026 circuits, which will include tours in Rocket League, Fortnite, Counter-Strike 2, Rainbox 6 Siege, and Dota 2.

The organizer has undertaken hosting several different esports titles in recent years and recently held the 2023 BLAST.tv Paris Major for Counter-Strike and the 2024 RLCS Copenhagen Major earlier this year.

BLAST claims hosting events worldwide has helped deliver a financial impact in those regions through tourism. The organizer claims that The 2024 Six Invitational garnered approximately $13 million USD in economic impact for the city of Sao Paulo in Brazil.

Now, BLAST is expanding its esports offerings by venturing into Dota 2 through the creation of "BLAST Slam," a new circuit for the Valve title. It is expected to be launched later this year and will run through 2025, with five planned events.

The Denmark-based organizer is rumored to host the first 2025 Counter-Strike Major in Austin, Texas.

"After launching our host city process for events in 2025/26, we are excited to work with previous and brand new BLAST destinations to bring incredible esports events to places and fans all around the world," James Woollard, Director of Market Development at BLAST said.

"BLAST is renowned for its unparalleled production quality, game-changing fan-first moments, and electric arena events. These events attract fans from all around the world and deliver multi-million dollar economic impacts for hosts along with many other social, cultural and reputational benefits. We make BLAST events around the world look and feel unique with the city at the heart of the show, and we look to forge long-term and strategic partnerships with destinations to meet their objectives."
