M80 achieve highest-ever HLTV ranking following impressive EPL run

North America had an entertaining week with M80 coming alive and shocking almost everyone with standout performances against G2, BetBoom, and Sharks at ESL Pro League Season 19. While the team were bested twice by BetBoom in close series, the team pulled off the more impressive feat of smashing G2 in their first meeting before falling in an extremely close 2-0 rematch against the number five team in the world.

While M80 are likely heartbroken over missing out on playoffs in such close circumstances, the team have a lot to be proud of while still integrating German IGL Elias "s1n" Stein into their ranks.

M80's reward for a great run at EPL is a massive jump in HLTV's newest World Ranking, with the NA team leaping from 42nd in the world to 27th. With this M80 have joined fellow NA squads Complexity and Liquid in the top 30 alongside a number of Brazilian squads.

The team are currently headed back home to finish up ESL Challenger League Season 47 while Complexity, Liquid, BOSS, and FURIA begin their ESL Pro League campaigns later this week.
