Stewie2K hasn't played an ESEA league in nine years

Stewie2K and Legacy invited to ESEA Advanced

The Major to ESEA Advanced pipeline is real.

As first confirmed by Dust2 Brasil, Legacy have been invited to ESEA Advanced Season 49 and are set to compete in the league as part of their move to North America. Legacy announced their intentions to move their Counter-Strike 2 lineup to North America back in February, and are now set to complete the move after being eliminated from the PGL Major Copenhagen on March 20th.

ESEA Advanced will be a familiar environment for the majority of the Legacy lineup, as Bruno "latto" Rebelatto, Eduardo "dumau" Wolkmer, and Bruno "b4rtiN" Câmara won ESEA Advanced Season 38 with GODSENT while Gabriel "NEKIZ" Schenato won Season 36 with paiN. Additionally, Olavo "cky" Napoleão is a two-time champion, having coached GODSENT to victory in Season 38 and oNe in Season 28 — the first edition of ESEA Advanced.

As such, Jake "Stewie2K" Yip is the only player without an ESEA Advanced appearance as his career trajectory allowed him to sidestep the league for a number of years. In fact, his last season was ESEA Premier Season 19 all the way back in 2015 while playing for SKDC.

Regardless, this team is likely to be a terror of the division as Brazilian squads have often been dominant forces in ESEA Advanced in previous years. As such, they will be the team to beat in the upcoming season.

Legacy consists of:

  • Brazil Bruno "latto" Rebelatto

  • Brazil Eduardo "dumau" Wolkmer

  • Brazil Gabriel "NEKIZ" Schenato

  • Brazil Bruno "b4rtiN" Câmara

  • United States Jake "Stewie2K" Yip (Trial)

  • Brazil Olavo "cky" Napoleão (Coach)

Legacy will debut in North America when ESEA Advanced Season 49 begins on April 4th.
