GSG9 cut ROBBY1*
GSG9 have cut their IGL Ryan "ROBBY1" Robshaw ahead of the start of 2021. The move comes after the 29 year-old player led the team successfully through ESEA Advanced Season 35 playoffs and ESEA MDL Season 35 Relegation to claim a spot in MDL.
Regarding the sudden decision to cut their IGL, Johnny "JDubs" Wu told Dust2.us that the team came to the decision to part ways with ROBBY1 as in their opinion he was not committed to the game as other members of the team. JDubs also said that Jake "Decko" Muse having to share AWPing duties with ROBBY1 was hurting the team's development.
With this change, GSG9 are now:
Jake "Decko" Muse- Richi "sherps" Sherpa
- Johnny "JDubs" Wu
- Devin "Xzen" Barber
GSG9 are set to field Big Chillin player Matt "dvl" Buechel for this weekend’s cash cup, with the team telling Dust2.us that they are trying him out as a potential fifth moving forward.
Update: Dust2.us has learned following the publication of this article that JDubs' comments are not reflective of the team's attitude and that at this time ROBBY1 is still with GSG9.
