paiN and GGPR advance to ESEA Winter Cash Cup 1 semifinals
The first day of the inaugural ESEA Winter Cup has come to a close, with paiN and GGPR making their way to semifinals to set up confrontations against RBG and Mythic.
In the first two rounds of the bracket the only notable team to face elimination was Vireo.pro, who were eliminated at the hands of the new Heart n Soul lineup 16-5 on Mirage. In round three a number of MDL and Advanced sides began to meet, with Kinship falling to GGPR 16-14 on Overpass and timbermen taking down RUNnGUN 22-19 on Overpass.
In round four, paiN made quick work of Third Impact's new lineup, besting them 16-9 on Inferno while GGPR claimed a 16-9 victory against Heart n Soul on Mirage.
Moving into round five, paiN ended timbermen's run with a close 16-12 victory on Nuke. On the other side of the bracket, GGPR eliminated Big Chillin 6-12 on Mirage.

The event will wrap up tomorrow, with paiN taking on RBG and GGPR facing off against Mythic. The grand final will be played afterwards, seeing the winners walk away with $3,000, while the runners-up will still net $1,000 for themselves.
