Party Astronauts bring in former EG IGL

After losing Walco, Carpe Diem have scooped up micro.

Shortly after announcing the departure of Wesley "viz" Harris, Party Astronauts have unveiled Colby "Walco" Walsh as his replacement, seeing the Canadian IGL make the jump from Carpe Diem. To fill the gap left by Walco, Carpe Diem have also confirmed the addition of Jack "micro" Ryan, doing so after he was first spotted playing with the team on Tuesday.

Walco's addition to Party Astronauts' ranks sees the IGL reunite with Connor "Chop" Sullivan after the duo's long-term collaboration came to an end when EG Black cut the player in November 2022. It also sees Walco link up with former EG White IGL, Ben "ben1337" Smith, with the latter player set to take the reins as the team's main IGL.

Regarding the addition of two IGLs, Party Astronaut's coach, Luke "Viathan" Carstens, told Dust2.us:

Ben is still leading the team. Wes had an important voice in our team and it is a great addition to have an experienced caller like Colby coming into some of the spots that were vacated.

As for Carpe Diem, the addition of micro will hopefully, in the short-term, mark the end of the roster's instability. The team previously cut Kyle "Wolffe" Greenfield after ten days and have been using John "arcade" Rogel as a stand-in to retain their ECL spot. The move marks micro's return to action after last being on a permanent squad with kariESPORTS, before he left the team in August 2023.

With these moves, Party Astronauts and Carpe Diem are now:

Party Astronauts:

United States Ben "ben1337" Smith
United States Connor "chop" Sullivan
United States Danny "cxzi" Strzelczyk
United States Adam "WolfY" Andersson
Canada Colby "Walco" Walsh
United States Luke "Viathan" Carstens (Coach)

Carpe Diem:

United States Sebastian "Seb" Dietrich
United States Mason "Lake" Sanderson
United States Jerric "wiz" Jiang
United States Jack "micro" Ryan
United States John "arcade" Rogel (ECL stand-in)

Party Astronauts will debut with Walco in ESL Challenger League Season 47 against MIGHT on February 20th while Carpe Diem will play their third match of the season against BOSS also on February 20th.

Kind of a weird roster move to be perfectly honest.

Indeed, they have two IGLs now and I would guess, less firepower overall.
