Brehze was by far the best North American player during September

Easy, Brehze, beautiful September player ranking

The Evil Geniuses rifler was the best player by a considerable margin last month.

Evil Geniuses' Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte has topped our September player ranking, maintaining a considerable lead over the rest of the top ten with a 1.18 rating.

Events that were factored into the creation of this ranking include ESL Pro League Season 12, ESEA Summer Cash Cups 3 and 4, Mythic League FPL Cup 1, the grand finals of WINNERS League FPL Cup 1, and ESEA MDL Season 35.

Brehze's top placement followed off the back of a strong showing from the 22-year-old rifler in ESL Pro League, where he averaged a 1.18 rating over nineteen maps against the likes of 100 Theives, Liquid, FURIA, and Gen.G. His best showing came at the start of the month against the Australian squad to kick off the group stage, where he posted a 1.95 rating on Mirage to help his side to a 2-0 series victory.

Brehze led the way in September, followed by FaNg, Xeppaa, and oSee

ex-Recon 5 member Justin "FaNg" Coakley was the runner-up for the month, mustering a 1.13 rating as a result of his efforts in MDL Season 35, two FPL Cups, and a stand-in appearance as a part of modified Rugratz roster in the fourth ESEA Summer Cash Cup. Erick "Xeppaa" Bach also averaged a 1.13 rating, although he went up against a higher caliber of opposition than FaNg in Chaos' ESL Pro League campaign, where they narrowly missed out on playoffs with a fifth place finish.

Triumph and former Cloud9 AWPers Paytyn "junior" Johnson and Josh "oSee" Ohm were next up, both mustering 1.12 ratings to occupy fourth and fifth place. The latter sniper found little success this month despite his good form, with Cloud9 ending up in seventh place for ESL Pro League and exiting the Mythic League FPL Cup in 3-4th. junior, meanwhile, had a worse showing than oSee in ESL Pro League, but had his rating bolstered as he led Triumph to first place finishes in the aforementioned FPL Cup and fourth ESEA Summer Cash Cup.

The Liquid duo of Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski and Keith "NAF" Markovic were also neck-and-neck, both averaging 1.10 ratings in their team's ESL Pro League effort. Meanwhile, Owen "oBo" Schlatter helped Complexity to a playoffs berth in the European division of ESL Pro League Season 12 with a 1.07 rating, but took his leave from the team shortly afterwards as he wished to return to North America after many months in London.

The top ten for September was rounded out by Ethan "Ethan" Arnold — who was Evil Geniuses' third-best performer in ESL Pro League (after Brehze and Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov) — and Chaos' Jonathan "Jonji" Carey, with both players managing 1.05 ratings for their sides.
