neptune and Recon 5 are the highest rated lineup in the diminished field of teams

Mythic Cup 6 announced with $2,000 winner-take-all prizepool

Mythic will now have two events for North American teams to compete in during May.

Mythic have returned with the sixth iteration of their online cup, scaling down the format this time around to eight teams and a single-elimination bracket. The open qualifier will be taking place on May 9th while the main event will be played out on May 10th. The event is sponsored by Boston Sports Partners, a talent agency that is looking to become more involved in esports.

Another significant change has seen the number of qualifier spots decreased from four to just one, with interested teams being able to sign up on the qualifier's FACEIT page.

This will also be the first Mythic Cup to not feature a returning champion or runner-up from the previous cup, with Morning Light being the highest finisher from Mythic Cup 5, coming in 5th-8th place.

The team list for Mythic Cup Six is as follows:

United States Big Frames United States Morning Light
United States New England Whalers United States Polar Ace
United States Recon 5 Canada Swedish Canadians
United States Under 21 Open Qualifier

As always, signup links and dates for qualifiers and upcoming events can be found on the Dust2.us Calendar
