Team Liquid take out compLexity to move onto the Consolidation Final

The favourites ignore everything that happened to them in yesterday's game to secure another chance in the Americas Minor

The Lower Bracket Final brought the last chance for teams to make a run for the Major Qualifier. Team Liquid, who were upset by Misfits in the Semi-Final, came up against compLexity, who created a form of upset of their own against NRG in their Group.

The series was set to be fought on Inferno, Cobblestone and Mirage. The first map saw Liquid kick off a strong T-side by taking the pistol round and it's following anti-ecos. The fourth round managed to go the way of compLexity, but after a close fifth round Liquid returned back on top. Strong performances from Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski see his team ride up to a strong 9-1 lead. A small resurgence saw compLexity pick up two more rounds, before a 1v3 clutch from young Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken helped Liquid end the half on a commanding 12-3 lead.

The second half saw Rory "dephh" Jackson secure four kills in the pistol round to give compLexity a fighting chance for the rest of the map. After taking the following rounds a mirror of the first half occurred, as Liquid secured the fourth round before losing the next. That's when the similarities stopped, as Liquid then raced onto a 14th round. compLexity then manage to secure two strong rounds afterwards to keep their game in touch, before being eco'd by Liquid as they hit match-point. From here it was essentially a done deal, as Liquid took map one 16-9.

Cobblestone was the second map, and compLexity came strongly onto their T-side securing the pistol round. After taking the first anti-eco, Liquid managed to secure the round following with a forcebuy. From there Liquid pushed on to immediately tie the game and push onto taking a lead. With it taking six rounds in total before compLexity were able to respond, Nick "nitr0" Cannella and co. kept a strong showing on the second map. The two sides then traded rounds in a set of two, including a round where compLexity managed to secure an eco-round win. Liquid weren't deterred from this manner of a lost as they passed straight onto the half with a 10-5 lead.

The second half was a direct repeat of the first, as compLexity chalk up the pistol and first anti-eco before Liquid took the third round. From there Liquid race onto match-point, helped along by a Nick "nitr0" Cannella managing to collect 31-kills in the map. compLexity managed a short stay of execution by collecting one further round, but Liquid once again completed the inevitable and finished the game 16-8, and the series 2:0.

That eco win on inferno was crazy, you've got to feel bad for complexity when that happens. Do or die time for this iteration of CLG.
