Jee tells Chinese fans to relax after ZywOo faces harassment post-EWC showdown
In the latest internet drama, Chinese Counter-Strike fans have decided to "white knight" for TYLOO's Ji "Jee" Dongka after Vitality star Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut decided to shoot his corpse during the series between the two teams at the Esports World Cup 2025.
While this incident clearly just a bit of BM between the two players, Chinese fans decided to interpret the incident as serious disrespect towards Jee and Chinas as a whole and have taken it upon themselves to harass ZywOo on social media.
While most of the comments in reply to ZywOo's recent X post are fairly tame and say China has lost respect for ZywOo after the incident, many of them are quite rude with Chinese fans making fun of ZywOo's deceased father, calling him a fat pig, and saying they hope his mother dies.
These very sane and normal comments drew the attention of Jee, who told the Chinese community to relax and stop harassing ZywOo via a video on Douyin. Per a machine translation provided by Redditor brutaldonahowdy, Jee told his community:
"I actually think everyone is being too aggressive. I really don't think ZywOo is that kind of person. I think ZywOo is actually a very friendly person. Because today on the way to the match, he was walking behind me and he saw a charm/pendant on my backpack and he said it was very cute. I feel like maybe everyone sees CS's death animation differently. I don't think ZywOo is that kind of person. I hope everyone can stop the cyberbullying. Just peace."
Jee and ZywOo record a video together
This morning, ZywOo posted a video on X, in which he and Jee posed with each other's jerseys.
Unfortunately, Jee couldn't give his jersey to ZywOo, but he'll give it when they meet at IEM Chengdu in November.
And, they also talked about having an ice cream together, which we all know Jee loves.
