ATK invited to $300,000 European tournament

Russian tournament operator FISSURE have announced the first in a series of four European tournaments that are set to be held in the coming months as part of their BetBoom Playlist series. For their first event, BetBoom Playlist. Urbanistic, FISSURE have invited ATK to the swiss stage of the event while they are in Europe for ESL Pro League Season 17.

Besides a potential $300,000 prizepool should ATK go deep enough in the tournament, this event will be a fantastic opportunity for Gareth "MisteM" Ries' troops to get in some extra practice and make the most of their time in Europe.

Alongside ATK, the event consists of a number of top 50 European squads, with headline names including Bad News Eagles, Sprout, Aurora, and Copenhagen Flames.

BetBoom Playlist. Urbanistic is set to the run from March 27th to April 3rd. In the unlikely scenario ATK make a deep run, this may present issues for the team as they still need to meet their commitments for ESL Challenger League Season 44. Additionally, should the team make the BLAST.tv Paris Major Americas RMR, they would need to immediately head to Mexico for that event, with little change for recuperation. Regardless of where ATK finish this event will be a better source of practice than scrims as the higher stakes should prevent EU squads from running and gunning their NA underdog opponent.
