PGL hosted the previous Major

PGL lauded for expedited payments post Major

The event got some love this morning.

PGL's CEO Silviu Stroie announced this morning that all teams, talents, and vendors, except two teams that have yet to send invoices, have received their entire payment for the 2024 PGL Copenhagen Major, which ended just two weeks ago.

The event, which was the third most-watched Counter-Strike Major in history, saw Natus Vincere come away with the grand prize after defeated FaZe in a back-and-forth 2-1 series win.

In response to Stroie's post, several staff and team members that were part of the Major lauded the organizer for delivering payment in a timely manner, something that has been an issue for years within the industry. In the United States, operator Nerd Street has experienced funding issues in previous years which has caused teams, staff, and talent not to see payment for extended periods of time.

Photographer Stephanie "Vexanie" Lindgren, who worked during the two-week event, said that PGL were "The gold standard for payment speed and ease". Complexity General Manager Graham "messioso" Pitt agreed with that sentiment as he chimed in, "PGL has always paid prize money owed incredibly fast compared to anyone else in the industry."

Others that worked the event, including Sudhen "Bleh" Wahengbam and Jacob "Pimp" Winneche also voiced their appreciation for the organizer.

PGL, having just hosted another successful Major, will now be working with Perfect World as the two organizers have combined forces to host the following Major in Shaghai, China this December. Additionally, PGL will be hosting several events throughout 2025 and 2026 as they expand their Counter-Strike LAN offerings.
