Nouns take the lead, Mythic start to slip | ECL S47 Roundup Day 16

It was another wild night of competition as Nouns surged ahead to take first as the league leaders with Mythic now tumbling down from first to fifth over the last few match days. NRG have also continued their strong league performance as they look for a top seed heading into playoffs. Elsewhere, BOSS have started to find their footing and stay in the hunt for a playoff spot while M80 are now bottom of the standings due to exigent circumstances. With the Bomb Squad only scheduled to play next May, they will likely occupy the basement for a while.

Mythic 0-2 LAG

It was a huge series sweep for LAG last night as they dominated Mythic across the two maps to put themselves right back into top seed contention. The European-American squad dominated Mythic 13-5 on Ancient and then 13-6 on Anubis to give themselves a 10-8 record and third place for now. With the squad having already played eighteen maps so far, they will need to win out should they have any chance of getting a Top Four spot in the playoffs.

Nouns 2-0 Elevate

It was the second night in a row that Eric "adreN" Hoag was the official head coach of Nouns, and it was the second straight 2-0 series sweep for the squad in ESL Challenger League play. The DAO-supported squad cleaned up last night as they dispatched Elevate 13-4 on Mirage and then 13-2 on Overpass. Those two wins catapulted the organization into first place, as they have jumped over Party Astronauts with eleven wins so far this season.

BOSS 1-1 NRG

It was a successful night for BOSS who were able to split the series against NRG, who have really turned things up a notch since re-jiggering their squad to include Timothy "autimatic" Ta as their new marquee rifler as well as putting Damian "daps" Steele back in the driver's seat as a coach. The newest major organization to enter North American CS are now 9-3 on the season. BOSS, who started off very slow this season have now climbed back to 9th place where they recovered from a 0-5 start.

FLUFFY AIMERS 1-1 One More

It was a tight series between FLUFFY AIMERS and One More as both squads need every win they can get to avoid a potential relegation fight. The AIMERS were able to take the first map of Mirage 13-11 after coming back from a 7-10 deficit, however they were unable to do the same on Inferno as One More climbed back on their T-side to secure the second map of the series.

Take Flyte 1-1 MIGHT

A back-and-forth series between the two sides saw Brody "BeaKie" Kelly's squad take the opening map of Mirage 13-7, while MIGHT and Ryan "Snakes" Amann got their revenge on Anubis with the same score.
