Mythic finally dethroned, Party in the USA | ECL S47 Roundup Day 15

Last night we saw a number of the top teams from the region get into the action as BOSS, Party Astronauts, Nouns, and NRG took to the server for some ESL Challenger League action. Every series ended up being a 2-0 for the favorites which results in some standings changes as Mythic have finally been knocked off their perch with Party Astronauts taking the lead for the first time all season. With four games in hand, it's likely that North America's hottest squad can only extend their lead and secure the top seed heading into playoffs.

Party Astronauts 2-0 One More

Inferno was not too much of a battle between the two, but it was on Anubis where it really became a competitive match for fans to watch. Inferno had been dominated by Party Astronauts running over One More's CT-side with eleven rounds before closing it out 13-3. Anubis saw the two teams use their T-sides to guide the match. One More had even gone up 11-4 on their CT-side before PA won eight out of nine rounds to force an overtime, where the Jönköping bound squad eventually won 19-17.

NRG 2-0 Carpe Diem

The now American squad continued their strong league form as they took another series 2-0 against Carpe Diem. Colby "Walco" Walsh confidently defeated his former team 13-3 on Ancient and 13-6 on Nuke, with NRG only giving up four total T-sides to their opponent in the two map series. With the two wins last night, NRG have now put themselves in contention for the #1 playoff seed thanks to their 8-2 record with two games in hand compared to league leaders Party Astronauts.

BOSS 2-0 LAG

It was a hotly contested match on Ancient between the two sides as Bogdan "ogwizard" Savula did everything he could to give his team the win against BOSS and their new member Justin "FaNg" Coakley. It ultimately wasn't enough as BOSS did enough on their T-side to secure a close 13-11 victory on the map. Mirage was not nearly as close as BOSS stormed out to take a commanding 10-0 lead on the T-side. LAG would respond with six rounds of their own in a row, but BOSS easily closed it out on the defense to take a 13-6 win.

Nouns 2-0 MIGHT

I was an easy night for Nouns and new coach Eric "adreN" Hoag as they cruised through to two 13-4 wins over MIGHT to put themselves in second place in the league. MIGHT had failed to find a single T-side round on Mirage, but did find three on Nuke, however it didn't matter too much in the end as Nouns steamrolled the last place team to go 2-0 on the night.
