NRG, PA in the hunt for final IEM Dallas CQ spot

Approximately 90 teams participated in yesterday's IEM Dallas 2024 Open Qualifier #2 with the field being whittled down to just eight remaining hopefuls. Liquid, Nouns, and BOSS await in the Closed Qualifier for the winner of tonight's final day of competition in the qualifier.

Notable teams including MIGHT, Elevate, Take Flyte, and FLUFFY AIMERS were struck down in the last few rounds with some surprises like G3 and ex-CatEvil proving themselves once again that they can compete amongst some of the better teams in the region.

Others like LAG, and Limitless will be hoping that they can prove to be a spoiler against remaining favorites Party Astronauts, NRG, and Wildcard, who are the likely candidates to make it through the qualifier.

NRG found themselves with an easy ride to the quarterfinals of this qualifier, taking down their opponents ChipiChipiChapa and Danny DeVito 13-2, 13-4, and 13-2. Party Astronauts had an equally easy route to the top eight as they won their matches 13-4, 13-3, and capped it off with a 13-1 victory over the recently reformed E-Xolos Lazer.

Elsewhere, Mythic have once again made a deep run alongside Wildcard who both have decent shots at making it to the Closed Qualifier.
