Wildcard replace Evil Geniuses in Copenhagen RMR CQ

Wildcard have benefited from the demise of EG.

Dust2.us has confirmed with Wildcard's manager, Jeremy "Jeremy9000" Gray, that the team have received a replacement invite to the PGL Major Copenhagen Americas RMR Closed Qualifier. While Valve and PGL's communication to Wildcard did not specify what team they would be replacing, it is understood that Evil Geniuses have exited the qualifier. The decision to replace EG comes as the organization has seen their ranks depleted to just two players while they are reportedly set to exit CS2 in the near future.

Wildcard's callup to the Closed Qualifier comes as a result of the recently formed lineup being the next highest-ranked team from Valve's December 18th Regional Standings update. Being able to skip the open qualifier likely comes as a relief to Wildcard, as they get to skip the ever unpredictable open qualifiers. This is especially true for the RMR OQs, as they are set to be largely be MR12 BO1s, with a number of dangerous teams like Liquid, NRG, FLUFFY AIMERS, Take Flyte, and MIGHT lurking in the depths.

With the addition of Wildcard, the list of teams invited directly to the NA Closed Qualifier consists of:

1) United States Complexity
2) M80
3) United States Nouns
4) United States Badass

5) United States Party Astronauts
6) United States BOSS
7) United States Unjustified
8) United States Wildcard

Excited to see more from this squad, lots of potential. Alongside M80, BOSS, and Nouns I can see Wildcard potentially break through to T2 EU cs or T1.
