cleanup crew and COVEN sweep their way into ESL Impact Season 5 North America

With all well-known names from the scene already qualified or invited to the regional division, the final qualifier for the league was bound to have some new faces reach the North American league. COVEN and cleanup crew, although featuring recognizable figures, are the ones bringing debutants to this season.

COVEN had joined the scene as a team in early 2023 and has since then been grinding ESL Impact Cash Cups, ultimately reaching a grand final in June. This ESL Impact Season 5 qualification will see four COVEN players debut in the league, as Jlee "JLee" Jay had previously played during Season 1 with Hot Flash.

As for cleanup crew, Shelby "Shelby" A. is returning after Cherry Bombs disbandment, as well as Paula "paula" Ramanauskas who left Saints in February of 2023 and is back in ESL Impact League after missing out on seasons 3 and 4. Joining them is Ariane "ARIANARCHIST" Lafrenière, albeit known in the community it's her first time qualifying for ESL Impact League, and Bubzy and gadfly, two completely new names.

Due to the low amount of teams participating in the final ESL Impact Season 5 NA qualifier, both cleanup crew and COVEN got a bye in the first round, and only needed to play a single BO3 series to qualify. COVEN met caffiends, who had to beat PriorityDoppler during the first round, and defeated them 13-1 and 13-10. cleanup crew faced Radiant Rebels, who also had a bye, beating them 13-5 and 13-1.
