MIGHT lose one as collegiate player heads home

With summer break starting, danss has had to head home to Latvia.

With the American school year coming to an end, Dans "danss" Sils has announced his departure from MIGHT as the Latvian player heads home after a semester at Lindenwood University. While the 22 year old was known in North America for his time with MIGHT in the ESL Challenger League, he was in the country on a student visa and a scholarship from the Missourian university.

According to danss' former teammate, Jonathan "djay" Dallal, danss will be spending the summer back in Europe due to it being too expensive to remain in the United States without being supported by a scholarship. As such, danss' exit from MIGHT marks the end of a fairly unsucessful time with the orgless team. Despite the squad featuring well-known names in the NA scene, MIGHT have struggled to find results especially after Bobby "stamina" Eitrem stepped down at the start of the year.

The team currently have a 4-10 record in ECL S47 and were on a nine game losing streak before snagging a map off of Take Flyte back on April 10th. For his part, danss' individual form left something to be desired as he ended his time on MIGHT with a 1.03 rating over 22 maps.

In danss' place, MIGHT have enlisted the services of Chinese rifler Tianyi "Fr3nk1e" He, who most recently played for Badass at the end of 2023. While Fr3nk1e has not been on a team in some time, he recently won launders LAN in mid-April with a FLUFFY AIMERS mixteam, meaning he should not have too much ring rust.

MIGHT are now:

  • Canada Jonathan "djay" Dallal

  • United States Noah "Nifty" Francis

  • Canada Matthew "scar" Bruni

  • United States Ryan "Snakes" Amann

  • Tianyi "Fr3nk1e" He

  • United States Calvin "becker" Becker (Coach)

Fr3nk1e will make his debut with MIGHT tonight as they take on Elevate at 09:00PM.
