The former Northern Forces players are exploring their options following a disappointing ESEA Premier Season 39 campaign

Update: Northern Forces disband

Unable to keep their spot in Challenger next season, the North American team call it quits.

Northern Forces have disbanded per the team's Twitter. This news comes following their 7-8th place finish at the ESEA Season 39 Premier Relegation tournament, meaning that the team would be playing in ESEA Advanced for Season 40.

Statements made on the player's Twitter accounts have indicated that they will not be sticking together for this Advanced season and will instead opt to seek out individual offers.

Northern Forces earned their way into Premier in the ESEA Premier Season 38 Relegation tournament, where they secured promotion by defeating Big Chillin and Mythic. Their run in Season 39 was overall quite poor, as they only managed to finish with a 3-5 record and had to fight for survival in the relegation tournament. There they suffered losses to Third Impact and Valors on their way to a last place finish.

The players will have time to search for new teams as the league heads into its winter break, with league registration only closing on January 17th.

Northern Forces were:

  • United States James "EllisoN" Ellison
  • United States Matthew "D4rtyMontana" Paplawskas
  • United States James "JAM" H.
  • United States Sam "sam" Donaldson
  • United States Reece "Wilky" Wilkerson
  • United States "Anythingpos"(Coach)

Update: James "JAM" H. has clarified to Dust2.us that the team are currently evaluating their options and are planning on sticking together for the time being while pursuing individual offers.
