Evil Geniuses change team names

To avoid further confusion, EG have finally cleared the air.

In an initial attempt to have the CS:GO roster be a collective operation of all players participating in the title, Evil Geniuses have been forced to adopt a naming scheme as the public needed a way to differentiate between teams. With two EG rosters recently participating in Fragadelphia 17, the organization decided to name the teams "White" and "Black" to avoid any confusion.

To accommodate everyone in the NA ecosystem, Evil Geniuses has agreed to permanently change the names of EG.CD to "EG Black" and EG.PA to "EG White". Of course, the senior roster will retain the Evil Geniuses name.

The debut of these naming conventions came during Fragadelphia 17 last week as a way to avoid any messiness that could come from both teams entering the event with team names that were nearly identical. The black and white distinction makes it much easier to distinguish the two teams as opposed to the ".PA" and ".CD" branding.

EG Black are in the thick of ESL Challenger League competition, while EG White are preparing for Ace NA Masters starting September 23rd, where they are competing with eight other domestic foes for a spot in both BLAST Premier Fall Showdown and Flow FiReLEAGUE Global Finals.

EG White and EG Black’s rosters are:

EG Black

Canada Colby “Walco” Walsh
United States Jerric “wiz” Jiang
United States Connor “chop” Sullivan
United States Will “RUSH” Wierzba
Canada Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz

EG White

Canada Jonathan “djay” Dallal
Canada Jonathan “Jonji” Carey
United States Ben “ben1337” Smith
United States Josh “PwnAlone” Pigue
United States Wesley “viz” Harris

I mean I liked the pa and cd tags and I think this one is more confusing but I get it from an org standpoint

I think they could have done more with the colors, to be honest.

I feel like this is more confusing because if you knew the orgs before EG signings then there wasn’t much confusion at all
