MDL Next Big Caster finalists announced
ESEA's Next Big Caster challenge for MDL Season 29 has reached it's final stage, leaving just three of the commentators remaining. Mike "DarfMike" Winnick, Mitch "MagicHelmetTV" Langford, and Matthew "Insomniuhh" Cota are set to appear on the ESEA Twitch channel over the next two weeks as they cast the final run of MDL matches for the season.
The winner of the Next Big Caster Challenge will have the opportunity to demonstrate their analyst abilities, cast matches, and interview players, allowing for a wide variety of their skills to be demonstrated at the MDL LAN finals at the end of the season.
The first iteration of the challenge was won by Roy "StrongLegs" Ahad with an overwhelming majority of votes, and has been held again for this season of MDL following StrongLegs' ESEA ban and removal from ESEA's MDL coverage team after allegations of gambling violations.
The trio of finalists are as follows:
Mike "DarfMike" WinnickThe casters will be featured on ESEA's Twitch channel starting this week, with ESEA opening up community voting at the start of next week. All three casters will continue to be featured through till the end of playoffs, at which point the community will determine their favorite to be flown out to the Global Challenge venue.
