Shimmer add another ESL Impact Cash Cup to their cabinet

As the main competitions come to a halt thanks to the player break, there were still a few smaller events being hosted before CS:GO players completely take a break. The ESL Impact Cash Cup season ended yesterday with Shimmer claiming yet another $750.

Since the start of May, Shimmer have won four Cash Cups, including this most recent victory. The team has been showing a lot of promise inside the North American Impact scene, having defeated Saints and FlyQuest RED in back-to-back cups at the start of the previous month.

Shimmer and Factor Ruby sat comfortably as both teams watched FLUFFY AIMERS PURP defeat Atlas Porphyria and COVEN beat Yummy. FLUFFY AIMERS PURP were matched against Shimmer, but stood no chance as the Lucy "empathy" Verkaik-led team showed its newly-acquired experience after playing the ESL Impact League Season 3 Finals in Dallas. empathy finished the series with 57 kills after just two maps.

COVEN and Factor Ruby had a much closer affair. The series started on Ancient and two overtimes were needed for COVEN to come out victorious. The second map would be Inferno as Factor Ruby tried to tie the series, but despite Hailey "Hailey" Lee's 106.5 ADR, COVEN managed to win the map 16-10.

COVEN have been slowly getting to the top of the NA Impact scene and this would be the first time the team reached the grand final of a cup since their first appearance in April. On the other side, they were meeting Shimmer, a household name in this kind of tournament. Despite their best efforts, COVEN couldn't match Shimmer's quality in the server yesterday, as Shimmer claimed the 7th Impact Cash Cup of the team.
