ROG fl0m fall to ROG HOUNGOUNGAGNE in Group B opener
The first day of ASUS' ROG Join The Republic challenge has concluded, with Eric "fl0m" Flom's team falling in their opening match against the French side of ROG HOUNGOUNGAGNE.
The best-of-one matchup saw ROG HOUNGOUNGAGNE start Overpass up 3-0, managing to further extend their lead to 6-1 after resetting fl0m and co.'s CT economy. ROG fl0m edged out another two rounds, but found themselves locked out for towards the latter portions of the half as ROG HOUNGOUNGAGNE took five of the remaining six rounds for an 11-4 scoreline.
That lead was further extended as another two rounds went the way of the French to kick off the second half, with fl0m's side battling back for two rounds of their own. The North American comeback attempt was quickly halted as ROG HOUNGOUNGAGNE fired back a round of their own before resetting their opponent's economy, cruising to a 16-7 finish.

fl0m was the only player from his side to put up a positive rating on the map, ending Overpass with a 1.22 rating. The ASUS ROG Audition winner, Alexander "retrQ" Kadan, finished in the middle of the pack with a 0.62 rating while finding the most assists on the server with a total of 6.
ROG fl0m will face off against Markus "pronax" Wallsten's ROG pronax in the best-of-three Group B elimination match, set to kick off at 7 AM EST tomorrow.
